Position: Attendance Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain accurate student attendance records using SIMS (School Information Management System).
- Liaise with parents and guardians to address attendance concerns, providing support and guidance.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral teams to monitor and improve attendance rates.
- Investigate and address reasons for student absences, implementing appropriate interventions.
- Ensure compliance with attendance policies and procedures.
- In cases of severe absences, initiate contact with local authorities and other relevant agencies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in school administration, with a focus on attendance.
- Proficient in the use of SIMS or similar school management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with parents, staff, and external agencies.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
