Audit & Accounts Manager

The Audit Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the growth of a well-established professional services firm. They will oversee all auditing activities and ensure that they adhere to both internal and external technical regulations.

• Managing and overseeing all auditing activities within the firm.
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Preparing accurate audit reports for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborating with other departments to streamline audit processes.
• Identifying risks and opportunities for improvement in the audit process.
• Developing auditing strategies that address the company's objectives and goals.
• Maintaining relationships with clients to ensure a smooth audit process.
• Staying updated on changes in financial regulations and standards. (UKGAAP & IFRS in particular)

Profile

A successful Audit Manager should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g. ACA/ ACCA, or equivalent) is essential for this role
• Proven experience in auditing & accounting within a UK professional services firm.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong understanding and keep up to date with financial regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software. (xero/CCH/caseware/sage)
