We are supporting this small London based firm offering great career progression add to their growing Audit department. Looking to strengthen their Business Services team by bringing in an Audit & Accounts Senior. Located just a short walk from Barbican station.
£42,500 - £47,500
Reporting to one of the Managers and Partner, you will be responsible for:
- Managing your own portfolio of limited companies, LLPs, partnerships, sole traders and personal tax clients.
- Preparing year-end financial statements and any other related ad-hoc assignments.
- Performing audit work – from planning and fieldwork to completion, working both away on site and at the office.
- Preparation of Corporation Tax returns.
- Preparation of Personal Tax returns.
- You are confident with good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- You have experience of working on a wide range of clients (some FCA experience would be beneficial).
- Prior knowledge and experience in operating Digita Accounts/Tax, Sage 50 Accounts and CCH Pro-Audit (experience would be beneficial).
- You are willing and able to work under pressure and cope with demanding deadlines.
- You have developed good client liaison skills.
- You work well as part of a team.
- Your analytical skills and attention to detail and ability to think laterally mean you are capable of identifying potential problems and providing solutions.
- You are up to date with current accounting issues and conversant with accounting standards and company law.
- You show initiative, exercise judgement and take ownership of issues from start to finish.
ACA, ACCA and/or Accounts Senior with at least 5 years practice experience. You should be able to manage your own portfolio of owner managed business clients, helping junior team members and be proactive with business development. You should be self-motivated, energetic, able to take the initiative with excellent planning, organisational and team working skills.
