Audit and Accounts Manager

Working in the Basingstoke office in the Audit/Accounts department as the head of a team reporting to the Directors, you will have direct responsibility for providing Audit and accountancy assurance services to their portfolio of clients. Qualified, or qualified by experience with a recognised Audit/Accounts qualification (e.g. ICAEW or ACCA).

What will the Audit and Accounts Manager role involve?

• Manage, motivate and co-ordinate a team of Audit/Accounts professionals across 3 offices, as well as mentoring, training and developing Audit and Accounts staff to enable them to pass their accountancy examinations.
• The administration, preparation and review of accounts production for a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited company’s, to ensure the Audit/Accounts compliance cycle is completed on time each year to meet internal, client and statutory deadline.
• Planning, managing and reviewing audit engagements in order to ensure compliance with Clarified ISAs. Liaising with RI over key issues and ensuring effective audit completion.

Suitable Candidate for the Audit and Accounts Manager vacancy:

• Excellent communication skills, and good interpersonal skills with staff and clients alike.
• Experience in both Accounts preparation and reviewing Accounts preparation work.
• Ideally will have strong IT skills and an analytical and enquiring min with the ability to interpret key facts/data/financial results.
