The salary is negotiable, will of course depend on experience and qualification level and is open within reason. The opportunity for an Audit professional, anywhere from capable Part-Qualified up to Audit and Accounts Manager is due to expansion and growth of the firm, so it is an exciting time to join the growing team. The role will be predominantly audit but also accounts preparation and involvement in tax because they like their team to have a rounded experience.
The role is largely office based at their Leicester office. They work as a team and feel this works best when everybody is in the office as much as possible. They are very flexible and understanding with staff, who often request working from home days if they need to be at home for some reason, but typically they would expect everyone in the office. They are happy to negotiate on starting and finishing hours to help with travel.
They only expect their team to work their paid hours and because they have an audit team in place who support each other, there is good work / life balance.
OVERVIEW ON THE FIRM AND ROLE
All audit clients are within 45 minutes’ drive of the Leicester office.
Salary will be based on level of experience and the firm are happy to consider the full spectrum of experience and salary expectations, as within reason, the role can be crafted around the right person.
Support, training and CPD will be provided and it is important for the firm that a new hire has good communication skills with clients and staff. Support can be offered in areas that people have less experience with.
Working hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm or 8:45am-5:15pm; employees decide which suits them.
Holidays are 25 days plus 8 bank holidays. Open to discussing part time (pay and holiday entitlement to be pro-rata).
JOB OVERVIEW
The firm have a good amount of audit work, with numerous good sized clients and recent developments in the firm have included taking on an audit junior, upgrading audit software and more formally implementing their audit department.
Medium-term, there is the opportunity of career development to a leading position.
In your direct team would be 1 audit junior, so you would manage that person and have access to 3 other senior and junior accountants to support the audit team. This role can develop to run the whole audit portfolio of clients, from start to finish, meeting clients, agreeing audit times and dates, agreeing all of the work, getting the RI to sign off the audit etc.
In the future, there may be the chance to develop your role and help run the practice.
