Parts Assistant
Join the dynamic team as an Automotive Parts Assistant, we are seeking a motivated individual with a passion for automobiles.
Major Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Parts Assistant for their client located in Thorne, Doncaster. As a Parts Assistantyou will play a crucial part in ensuring vehicles are processed efficiently within a fast-paced automotive environment. Collaborating closely with the inspection team, you will analyse completed inspections to identify and capture all required parts.
Key Responsibilities of a Parts Assistant
- Promote and understand operational requirements to meet customers' needs effectively.
- Co-ordinate with the Technical teams for complex parts requirements
- Manage stock through structures inventory processes and maintain optimum levels.
- Ensure timely processing of warranty parts returns and surcharge claims.
- Accurately order and process parts using appropriate systems
- Perform quality checks and handle defective parts through return procedures.
- Prepare number plates as needed.
- Ensuring adherence to and improvement upon the quality of service as outlined in working procedures, as well as compliance with Health & Safety responsibilities and ISO 9001 accreditation.
- Maintaining awareness, knowledge, and training on environmental issues within the ISO 14001 standard.
- Ensuring compliance with site rules established by BMW.
Skills Required as a Parts Assistant
- Previous experience as a Parts Assistantin the automotive industry.
- Ability to work as an individual and part of a team.
- Ability to work to work under pressure and hit targets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills
