Azure Data Engineer - up to £66,000 - Hybrid (6 days a month in office)

The Opportunity
The Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team are working with a brilliant organisation that benefits over half the UK population. The work they undertake will have a lasting impact on millions of lives for years and decades to come.

We are supporting them to recruit a Data Engineer who will be building on the foundations of their recent move to Azure. You will be working on a number of different storage and transformation technologies to support a data driven approach to their work.

What the Azure Data Engineer will be doing
You will be working within the central data office supporting the organisation to move towards a more data driven approach, through improvements to data acquisition, management and governance.

• Translate user stories into technical deliverables, as a hands on Data Engineer
• Build cost-efficient, scalable solutions using Azure Data Technologies
• Support the operations processes through monitoring and alerting
• Stay up to date on evolving cloud data solutions

What the successful Azure Data Engineer will bring to the team
You will be a practised Data Engineer with good knowledge of Azure data platforms and storage technologies.

• Good knowledge of Azure Data Platform and storage technologies, including Azure Data Factory
• Clear Data Engineering development experience
• Exceptional SQL knowledge
• Knowledge of branch based source control
• Knowledge of additional programming languages Python or C#
