The Tiffin Day Nursery and Preschool is a small family run nursery in the heart of Thurton, providing all year-round childcare to children living in the surrounding areas. The nursery is open Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm for up to 9 babies and 18 pre-schoolers.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of babies and children and expect our staff, students, and volunteers to all share this commitment. To this end, you may be required to undergo pre-employment checks.
We are looking to recruit a qualified (Level 3 or above) Baby Room Lead who has a minimum 2 years’ recent experience working in a Baby Room. Ideally applicants will hold an up to date Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and Child Protection and Food Hygiene certificate, although full training will be provided.
The setting has recently undergone a change in ownership and is looking for candidates who are excited about the prospect of helping the nursery grow and reach its full potential.
As Baby Room Lead you will work as part of a small team to provide an enabling environment full of opportunities that are inspired and led by the children’s own individual interests and needs. You will have specific knowledge of working with babies and children under two years old and have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will also have experience being a Key Person to a small group of children.
Previous experience using Tapestry is preferable, however, training will be provided, and applicants must have a minimum Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy if qualified after September 2014.
