The BackEND DEVELOPER’s main responsibility is building the structure of a software application. The candidate must have a great attention to detail and will be involved in trade-offs about how to meet the short and long term business goals as we expand our Engineering team. Alongside this a flare for learning and pushing for the business with a flare of entrepreneurship.
In this role, you will:
- Have commercial experience in building products with web technologies
- A good grasp of object-orientated programming and design patterns that avoid redundancy, promote developer efficiency, testability and maintainability.
- A desire to collaborate and innovate with other members of the team
- Good knowledge and experience of unit testing
- Experience in developing REST web services and APIs
- Delivering clean, elegant code including well-structured libraries
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong software engineering experience in programming languages and frameworks
- Solid experience in building and deploying large scale secure RESTful APIs
- Passion for learning and building cutting-edge applications
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
