Backend Developer (mid and senior level)

Salary: £55000-£85,000pa

Location: Glasgow (hybrid working)

Due to funding, and wanting to bring their development team in house, they are looking for several Backend Developers in the Glasgow region with expertise in Symphony.

Position Overview:

As a Symphony PHP Backend Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems for the client’s product.
You will work closely with our frontend developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Symphony PHP framework.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend functionality with the frontend.
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Symphony PHP Developer, with a strong portfolio of projects.
• Proficiency in PHP, Symphony framework, MySQL, and other relevant technologies.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
