Can you manage multiple complex departments at the same time, and adapt to regularly changing demands? Then this job might be for you.
The Division of Infection, Immunity, Rare Diseases and Outpatients is looking for a highly motivated Operations Manager who will bring energy and vision to the senior leadership team. Reporting to the senior Operations Manager, divisional clinical director and the head of nursing, the post-holder will work alongside a number of clinical leads and senior nurses to help to shape and deliver the strategic operational priorities of this exciting and varied constellation of specialist services.
We are one of the largest divisions in the Trust, comprising more than 20 services within four directorates: Infection; Immunity; Haematology and Rheumatology; Outpatients & PITU. This post will have a particular focus on infection (including the High Level Isolation Unit at RFH), Rare Diseases and ambulatory care across the division.

As the operational lead for several directorates and deputy to the senior Operations Manager, the main duties of the role cover three key areas of responsibility:
Operational performance - accountability to the divisional board for performance against RTT and Cancer waiting targets, as well as bespoke targets for specialist services reported nationally.
Financial - responsible for leading on the divisional FIP programme, driving cost savings and headcount reduction in areas of delegated responsibility.
