Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Bank Care and Support Assistant at Wimborne House, Gravesend.

The role of Wellbeing and Inclusion Assistant will include:
- Delivering a high level of personalised Care and Support and encouraging our customers to live as independently as possible
- Assisting customers with shopping, cleaning, and laundry tasks
- Helping customers to arrange and attend appointments e.g., with their GP
- Assisting and encouraging customers to access and maintain a level of integration into the wider community
- Promoting a positive culture by engaging with customers to prevent social isolation
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records
- Carrying out security checks during the night within the building
- Assisting to customers’ care/support needs during the night where applicable
- Dealing with customer emergencies during the night and seeking appropriate medical support
- Carrying out archiving and other allocated tasks were applicable
Skills and experiences:
- NVQ2 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards is desirable
- Personalised approach to care, ideally with experience of working in a similar care related role
- Some experience of basic health Care and hygiene standards
- Enthusiastic and person-centred with a strong “can-do” attitude
- Strong organisational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
- Good communication skills with an approachable nature
