Job description

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Bar and Lounge Supervisor to support our talented Food & Beverage team.

Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa is a luxury 5* hotel that operates like a house and feels like a home. Less than 30 minutes from Chippenham, Stroud, Tetbury and Cirencester, we are commutable from many locations in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Bath & Bristol. This beautifully restored 18th century manor House Hotel and spa offers a grown up getaway in the heart of the Cotswolds. Set in 12 acres of beautifully kept gardens, we have 23 individually decorated rooms and suites and a range of dining options including our Michelin starred restaurant ‘The Dining Room’ and Grey's, Whatley’s answer to casual dining. We also have conference facilities, Aquarias spa and gym and our very own 40 seat cinema!

The role :

As Bar and Lounge Supervisor, you will bring individuality, hosting our Bar, Lounge and terrace areas, providing the warmest Whatley Welcome. You will deliver a unique afternoon tea experience and provide a wide selection of food and drink options to our guests whilst leading and developing the team to deliver top notch hospitality. You will bring creative flair to our cocktails menu and help to inspire and develop the team's knowledge of this area. You will constantly deliver the highest standards of hospitality to our guests.

We are looking for:

Previous food and beverage experience working in a luxury hotel or similar property
Superb guest service skills with a background of exceeding guest expectations
Good product knowledge around cocktails, wines and spirits
Afternoon tea experience preferred
Commercial acumen with a proven track record in staff training and development, product knowledge and profitability
Excellent standard of written and spoken English
An engaging personality, able to communicate at all levels
Immaculate personal presentation
Pride and precision in your work with a dash of creative flair
