Bar / Waiting Staff

We are recruiting a new member of Bar / Waiting Staff to join our client east of Nottingham on a Full Time, contracted hours, Temporary to Permanent basis.
The owners of this very welcoming, friendly and small, dog friendly establishment are looking to grow the business, support their local community and provide an excellent but no-frills menu. This is an excellent small business to work for and a competitive starting pay rate of £11.00 - £11.50 is offered with contracted hours, so you know your shifts in advance.
Day to day, your duties will involve:
- Starting the shift by undertaking a check of the venue, cleaning tables and floors
- Serving on the Bar, which offers a range of draughts, bottles and spirits
- Running sales through the till, taking payments
- Providing a very warm welcome to locals of the community and passers-by... first impressions are key
- Advising on menu choices, taking orders from customers
- Serving out food with efficiency and professionalism
- Stock control
- Replacing beer barrels, changing gas (training provided)
Long term, the company may be able to offer progression down the Supervisory / Management route if you are suitable.
The company will require from you:
- Good Bar & Waiting experience
- Ability to work in a small team and alone (lone working may be needed at times)
- An interest in this sector long term
- A very positive, welcoming and friendly persona
- To be well presented
Working hours will be 5 days out of 7.
When you start you would have a Monday and Tuesday off weekly, once a month this would instead be a Saturday and Sunday off.
Then after training you would agree your 2 days off with the General Manager.
Shift times will be 11:00am-7:00pm or 4:00pm-close (approx 12:00am).
Pay rate £11.00 - £11.50 per hour depending on experience
