This is an exciting full-time role that combines Business Development with Art Consultancy. The main focus of this London based role is to build and develop Art Story’s client base across the luxury hospitality, cruise and commercial sectors. The BDM-Art Consultant will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and briefing in Art projects to the Art Story team. The role will also involve analyzing market trends and competitor activity to develop strategies to increase revenue and market share. The ideal candidate will already have their own extensive network of designers, hotel operators and owners working in the upper upscale and luxury categories.
Responsibilities
Develop opportunities to pitch Art Story to potential clients and partners
Assist Clients to build Art Briefs
Consult with potential clients on suitable artwork solutions and concepts.
Build a structured networking programme through attending relevant events and exhibitions as well as hosting social events.
Follow the latest trends in interior and hotel design
Provide insight and feedback on products and services that will strengthen Art Story's capabilities
Support the development of marketing collateral to position Art Story as an industry leader
Build proposals with compelling narratives, leading on the contractual, commercial and creative elements
Employing knowledge of Fine Art and of general Art History to strengthen proposals and give narratives context.
Artist Research – researching and commissioning external fine artists for feature locations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Arts and/or Business (ideal background is History of Art degree)
3 - 4 years' minimum prior industry related business development experience
Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with clients
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Strong organizational, commercial skills and attention to detail
