We are looking for an experienced Event Sales Manager to join the team at Edinburgh Castle.
Salary: £30,000-£32,000 + per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
About the Event Sales Manager role:
- To respond to clients and produce quotations within a set time period.
- Guide clients through the sales process in a friendly and seamless fashion.
- Use of initiative to improve sales within the Benugo brand.
- To foster and grow the relationship with established venues and clients.
- To ascertain from the client in one phone call the relevant information needed to send accurate and meaningful proposals.
- To be able to answer all questions clients may ask with unrivalled knowledge of Benugo and their operations.
- To be smartly presented and punctual when meeting new clients, representing Benugo in company or industry events.
- To attend meetings, including weekly events meeting, with all the relevant information.
- To produce clear Quotations and Event Sheets.
- To work closely with the operations team to ensure the smooth running of the event.
- Where necessary to oversee the running of events with appropriate staffing.
- To understand the restrictions of our event space and what that entails operationally.
- To have in-depth understanding of the food, wine, event execution and pricing of all events.
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date event records.
- To accurately and timely produce client deposits and invoices.
About the ideal candidate:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
- Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communicator with the ability to motivate and inspire
- To be upbeat, positive and energetic
- Passion for food and wine is a plus!
