We have a full time Best Interest Assessor opportunity available in our Safeguarding Adults team.
We welcome applications from current Best Interest Assessor students who are due to finish their BIA qualification by September 2024.
About the role:
Gloucestershire Safeguarding Adults team co-ordinates and leads on the Safeguarding Adults, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards agenda across partnership organisations. We are looking to recruit one Best Interests Assessor to support the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Service. You will carry out assessments with adults who may be deprived of their liberty, as well as providing advice and support to professionals and managing authorities. This is a varied and challenging role, and we welcome applications from enthusiastic professionals with a commitment to this fast changing area of the service.

About you:
We are looking for a qualified Best Interests Assessor with experience of undertaking assessments for the DoLS authorisation process.
Excellent communication skills, the ability to build sound working relationships with professionals across all relevant disciplines and a team-focused approach are all important attributes needed for this role.
