Working hours: 37.5; Monday- Friday: 09:00- 17:30
Salary: £28,000- £33,000 (dependent upon experience)
Gary McDonald (BI and Data Manager) is on the hunt for an 'BI Assistant Systems Accountant' to come and join his team within this hybrid role.
Directly reporting into the Group Systems Accountant and working as part of a dynamic Business Intelligence Team, within this role you will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, and implementation of data models as well as reporting solutions that meet the financial reporting requirements of Lookers. This is a unique group level role not to be sniffed at as you will be provided with exposure to the whole Lookers Group financial reporting and consolidation... how impressive does that sound! This could be your opportunity to secure a role outside of a traditional dealership accountant career path and delve into the world of Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities

• Implementing improvements to the financial systems, controls, and reports which the BI team operate within
• Maintaining and upkeeping MI Cube as well as related Lookers financial systems
• Overseeing consolidation and production of the Group's financial reporting requirements
• Assisting the BI Systems Accountant in providing support to colleagues within all areas of Lookers Finance
• Performing detailed accounts and systems analysis to identify potential process efficiencies
• Assisting with systems training for end users

Qualifications
We are on the hunt for an individual who has demonstrable experience of both dealership accounting as well as financial analysis... do you tick our boxes?
Our perfect candidate would ideally be from within the Motor trade, however if you're a total newbie we would still love to hear from you as this could be your perfect opportunity to gain an insight into this forever changing sector!
Are you an excel guru and have experience in reconciling various financial data with the desire to learn business intelligence tools and modelling software? From a soft skills perspective, we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal, presentation and relationship building abilities. It is also critical that you're able to align to shifting priorities, demands and timelines whilst using analytical and problem- solving capabilities. Due to the nature of the business, we are looking for someone who is able to effectively self-prioritise and execute tasks within both a high pressure and fast-paced environment.
