Position: Bid Manager
Location: Remote
Salary: GBP35,000- GBP45,000 per annum
Working Hours: 37.5 Hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Our client is a leading provider of grounds maintenance services in the UK, with a 30-year track record in serving both public and private sectors nationwide. As the Bid Manager, your crucial role involves crafting and presenting comprehensive bids to clients, adhering to timelines, and ensuring high-quality standards. You'll lead the bid submission process, aligning responses with the bid strategy, proposing operational solutions, and meeting customer requirements to enhance the chances of success. This collaborative position requires effective work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Accountabilities
- Lead and coordinate the internal bid team for successful bid preparation.
- Develop and implement a project plan to meet bid requirements on time.
- Ensure compliance and timely delivery of bids.
- Shape bid win themes and collaborate with operational teams on service delivery solutions.
- Craft and finalize written proposals, addressing client questions.
- Manage internal governance processes, obtain approvals, and maintain records.
- Conduct internal and post-bid reviews with clients.
- Facilitate the handover of successful bids to mobilization and operational teams.
- Engage with clients during bid stages, promptly responding to questions.
- Maintain a collaborative workspace for proposals and update the Bid Library with relevant information regularly.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Essential
- Experience of the Grounds Maintenance industry
- Proven capability of managing public sector bids and tenders
- Self-motivated and able to work to strict time deadlines
- Good team worker, able to build rapport with colleagues quickly
- Strong attention to detail; maintaining high standards and accuracy
- Confident and articulate in all communications i.e. face-to-face, telephone and written communications
- Highly competent in MS Office software

- APMP / PRINCE II qualifications
