Role Description
Working closely with the Bid Manager and other senior members in Sales, Business Development, & Finance, you will research and understand the nature of the contracts and projects the company is involved with. Continuously improve bid submissions through proper planning, articulative writing, creative presentations, client interviews, and management of all necessary bid procedures, governance, and processes, effectively driving the company's proposition to the highest standard and on brand.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing tender emails, portals, and websites for upcoming tenders, identifying opportunities and future pipelines, registering interest, and downloading relevant documents.
- Create the tender summary and share it with the senior management and the relevant parties to make everyone aware of the requirements.
- Creating high-quality PQQ and bid documents, including writing, and editing content (text and graphics) and document production according to bid requirements.
- Finalise and agree on the rates/pricing and other essential information in advance and get the CEO's approval.
- Complete the tender comprehensively and accurately and submit it well in advance.
- Follow up with tender bodies after applying for tenders and share updates with the senior management.
- Highlight, follow up, and support the areas where the company needs to develop to improve its ability to win contracts/tenders.
- Communicate with relevant authorities to obtain required clarifications during the tender process and provide company information as requested.
- Actively seek out high-quality content from internal and external sources, including desktop research, to improve proposals constantly.
- Provide regular updates on all proposals/bids to the Group Bid Manager.
- Maintain a comprehensive bid library, updating documents such as CVs and case studies as required.
Skills and Experience
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to navigate tender documents and understand customer requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an extensive vocabulary
- Evidence of excellence in producing high-scoring written content for competitive tenders and a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple projects on time.
- Proven capacity to effectively manage proposal development processes and a range of internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Demonstrated achievement in producing tender documents and similar written content.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to deliver effective service in a demanding environment with the ability to work to tight deadlines without detriment to quality.
