The company: Working for one of the largest independent Lift business’ in the UK, providing a whole host of vertical transport solutions to construction and end users. Sheridan Lifts provide a comprehensive range of products and services including design and installation of new lifts, maintenance of existing lifts and service and repair for all types of passenger and service lifts. The opportunity: Sheridan lifts are looking for a Bid Writer, to lead the planning and delivery of successful bids and tenders, from the first stage of the tender process through to the contract closure with our Commercial team. The Bid Writer will be responsible for ensuring all activities are completed to required standards and within the appropriate timescales.
Job Responsibilities:
• Write technical and non-technical tender responses and coordinate the writing process for bids
• Deliver each stage of the bid effectively, including Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ), Invitations to Tender (ITT/ISFT), & Technical responses etc.
• Attending internal / external meetings and events as required
• Review opportunities and identify any positive and negative factors
• Structure proposals to meet the requirements of both the Sales and Operations teams on tenders and report on bid progress through appropriate internal channels
• Provide feedback and reviews, proof reading and editing support as required
• Build effective relationships across all disciplines within the business
Ideal candidate;
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Expert writing skills and attention to detail
• Extensive experience within a Bid Writer capacity
• Proven track record working on and winning complex bids
• Creative, strategic thinking and ability to problem solve
• Appropriate experience in tender management methodology
• Previous experience of compiling PQQ submissions and Tender proposal.
• Woking knowledge of working within Tender portals
• Experience of maintaining knowledge database and document control systems Sheridan Lifts
