Bid Writer

On behalf of a highly successful main contractor, we are keen to speak with Bid and Marketing professionals to join their work-winning team based in Bedford.

Working closely with the pre-construction and bid teams, you will be required to coordinate work-winning construction PQQs and tenders. The successful candidate will re-write, proof-read and sub-edit content to a high standard and take responsibility for the timely production of proposal documents. Working with internal and external teams to produce first class written submissions, this will include writing sections from scratch or improving narrative provided by others. You will have the opportunity to write techncial and marketing material on a diverse rantge of projects form GBP1million to GBP50million acorss the education, automotive, pharmaceutical, commercial and health sectors.

It is important that the Bid Writer is able to identify the needs and values of the Client so that these can be addressed in submissions, balanced at all times with the Company strategy in order to ensure the successful delivery of PQQs and tenders.

The successful candidate will also produce a quality and aesthetically workable document for electronic issue, executing Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Duties will include:

• Working with bid teams to identify project objectives.
• Collaborate with a range of personnel to develop expert responses.
• Producing persuasive written material.
• Support the Bid Team with Researching and writing technical content for proposals.
• Assisting with the preparation of presentations and supporting documents.
• Researching and creating news stories for projects / individuals.
• Keeping up to date library of model answers.
• Apply Client feedback to future responses and drive continuous improvement.
• Support the company's Social Media presence with content across various platforms.

Experience and Qualifications
A good level of English (A-level or higher). However, experience and expertise of bid coordination / writing would be of equal merit.
