Bilingual Senior Teaching Assistant
Grade 6 SCP 19-25 (£29,777 - £33,945) Pro Rata
37 hours a week, 40 weeks a year
Temporary Position for one year.To Start September 2024 The Head of Centre and Governing Body are looking to appoint an HLTA to work in both our Welsh and English medium nursery within a dedicated and well-established early years team.
The post holder will need to be a fluent Welsh speaker and competent to communicate both verbally and in writing through the medium of Welsh.
The position is for 40 weeks a year which is term time plus 10 days of school holidays.
The role is to support the class teachers in both the English and Welsh, Medium Nursery, to support cover in After School club and to lead 10 days of holiday club throughout the year.
We are looking to appoint a practitioner who has a working knowledge and understanding of child development and who is committed to the principles of play based practice.
We would love hear from you, if you:
● have recent nursery experience
● enjoy working with children in a responsive way
● enjoy and have experience of working both indoors and outdoors with very young children
● involve parents in their children’s development and well-being,
● can commit to working a flexible pattern of hours across the week including some school holidays and evenings.
(Please note, this role is 40 weeks a year and includes some school holiday and evening work it requires flexibility in terms of working hours throughout the week and across the year. It is not a term time only position.)
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
