We have an opportunity for a Billing Associate to join the team of staff, based at our Circle Rehabilitation Hospital in Birmingham.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience of working with people at all levels of an organisation in the provision of finance activities.
- Strongtechnologyskills,includingcomputerisedfinancialsystemsandMicrosoftOffice
- Demonstratedabilitytoquicklyanalysedata,identifykeyissuesandtrends.
- Motivatedtoimplement/deliverontimetoqualitystandards.
- Initiative and openness to change.
- Highly energetic and driven to succeed.
- Able to buildgood interpersonal relationshipsacrossarangeof stakeholders.
- Undertakingstudiestowardsaqualificationmaybeofbenefit.
- Experience of working in the healthcare sector or a services-oriented would be advantageous but not essential.
Duties of this role include:
- To ensure that patient accounts are billed accurately on a timely basis in line within the department targets and billing agreements.
- Patientaccountsbilledtimelyafterdischarge ifinpatients,orasoutpatients.
- Ensurecompliancewithdepartmentprocessesand policies.
- CheckNHSandinsurancecompanyagreements for accuracy.
- Produceinvoicesforpatients/consultants/insurancecompaniesinlinewith theiragreements.
- Dealwithpatient/insurer/consultantenquiries.
- Maintaindepartmentsecurity.
- Maintaina professional,helpfulapproachto all customers and colleagues.
- Completemandatorytrainingasrequired.
- Querymanagement.LiaisecloselywithCreditControl.
- AssistwithregularKPIreportingforCBS.
- Support change and the review of finance processes to improve overall efficiency.
- Ensuringcompliancewithstatutoryandgroupobligations.
- Deliver timelyandaccuratedata toproduce management information reportsandidentifytrends and exceptions.
