Your new job as a North American Binding Authority Technician will be working for a young and dynamic Insurance and Reinsurance Broker. They specialise in Binding Authority and reinsurance business placed into Lloyd's of London and London Company markets. They pride themselves on their established relationships throughout the Lloyd's and Company markers and offer tailored solutions for UK and International Clients. Due to substantial growth within the technical division, a position for a Binding Authority Technician to cover a Maternity cover handling North American Binder business has arisen.
Your new role
Working as a Binding Authority Technician means you will be responsible for covering a Maternity cover. You will be responsible for the production of MRC slips and endorsements. Producing Insurance documentation including BAA slips + Endorsements, Knowledge of DCOM, ATLAS Crystal etc. Other duties will include preparing and typing of letters / emails and other correspondence as well as maintaining online filing and archiving systems. Other duties will include entering Data onto the Global system, arranging extension to terms of trade and calculating Profit Commissions & E2I's. You will be encouraged to build and maintain relationships with colleagues, supporting them with all technical issues and queries.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Binding Authority Technician dealing with North American / USA or International business will contribute to the success of your role. Experience of the Global system would be a distinct advantage however full training will be given to the successful candidate. The workload is heavy at times, so someone with a can-do attitude, personable and a good team player.
