Biomedical Scientist Advanced (Virology)

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day to day running of a Molecular section within Virology laboratory, utilising the resources available and to implement senior management decisions relating to department and trust policy.He/she will also take direction from the Laboratory Service Managers and Clinical Leads on day-to-day matters relating to all aspects of UKAS accreditation and patient and staff safety in the laboratory service.

Must hold an MSc Biomedical Science; or an IBMS Higher Specialist Diploma; or be a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science or equivalent.

Current registration as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
