We are looking to recruit two new Board members, one of whom will take the role of Secretary. We are looking for people who have relevant skills (including legal expertise, experience of company management), diverse lived experiences, fresh perspectives and a connection to Stoke-on-Trent.
If you don't have prior experience of being on a board please don't be put off, we provide induction, training and support for all our Board members.
Currently, all Restoke Directors either live in or near Stoke-on-Trent, or have a strong connection to the city. Several of them have been involved in our past projects as participants. They bring a wide range of skills and lived-experiences which have been fundamental to developing our organisation in line with the values that are present in our approach to co-creating performances, as outlined in Holding Lightly. As well as the practical skills that our Directors bring, their perspectives and lived-experiences contribute greatly to Restoke's decision making processes.
We are committed to increasing diversity in our organisation and address the barriers to taking part in our work. We strongly encourage applications from Black people who may be interested in joining our Board. We are also particularly keen to hear from disabled people, LGBTQ+ people and young people (under 30), who are currently underrepresented in our organisation.
This is an unpaid role, however Restoke will reimburse any expenses incurred in order to carry out these duties including travel, childcare and access costs.
