Bodyshop Technical Team Leader
JOB PURPOSE
The role of the Bodyshop Technical Team Leader is to:
Manage the process of optimising workshop resources to meet agreed departmental budgets.
Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Calculate and manage the effective use of workshop resources for the business.
Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met.
Plan the distribution of work amongst the team utilising available skills mix.
Identify individual training and development needs through coaching and support.
Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress.
Manage workshop standards in accordance with brand standards requirements.
Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of manufacturer service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators.
Maintain and develop own skills and technical knowledge.
Maintain safe working practices and abide by the working rules and standards of the business.
Drive efficiency in the workshop
Road test with customers to establish faults
Fault finding with workshop
Right First Time asking the correctly technical questions
Help with warranty process and job cards
Conduct morning meeting to review jobs and direct changes to improve first time fix
To drive NPS
To be 50% productive and 50% people manager
Final Quality Control Sign off of all workshop jobs
Skills & Requirements
Essential:
MET Technician background
Competency in numeracy, literacy and IT
Good organisational and leadership skill with the ability to delegate and motivate the team.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Full UK driving licence.
Smart appearance/workshop wear.
