Venn Group are looking for an experienced bookkeeper for an immediate start on a part time but flexible basis. The client partnered with Venn Group are a specialist contractor who service the North East and National clients such as Newcastle, Gateshead and Northumberland city councils, Interserve, and Sir Robert McAlpine!

Job title: Bookkeeper (Part time)

Hourly Rate: £14-16 p/h

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9am-4pm

Location: Gateshead

Contract: Permanent

Main Duties:

• General ledger duties including both sales and purchase ledger
• Bank reconciliations and postings
• VAT returns
• Credit control
• Management accounts experience
• Must have excellent working knowledge of Sage 50 accounts.
• Knowledge of factoring (Close Brothers IDEAL) and CIS would be advantageous
• Working from the Head office, this would suit an experienced bookkeeper looking to work with one of the Directors but to take full responsibility for all accounting procedures and office management.
• There will also be an amount of general admin work involved.
