An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a local family run business. You need to feel confident working in a standalone position and will be responsible for dealing with all account’s tasks, and payroll for the company. You will ideally hold an AAT Level 4 qualification or above.

Your duties:
- Preparation and reconciliation of quarterly VAT returns from Sage 50 Accounts
- Processing of weekly and 4 weekly payrolls in Sage 50 Payroll
- Managing sales and purchase ledger
- Processing and raising invoices
- Preparing quarterly management accounts and final year end accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Chasing overdue or outstanding debt
- File quarterly VAT returns
- Calculating wages weekly from timesheets and monthly salaries
- Processing expenses, mileage, RTI returns, P11Ds, P45s, P60s, SSP, SMP and holiday
- Prepare monthly pension payment
- Processing and raising purchase orders
- Petty cash control
- Dealing with general accounts related queries
- Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
About you:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounts and Bookkeeping
- MUST be AAT Level 4 qualified as a minimum
- Previous experience of using SAGE 50 would be beneficial
