Positively You are one of the market leaders in delivering student workshops across the UK and we are based in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight. We are currently searching for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our friendly team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a positive, upbeat approach to work.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the company's cash book.
- Handle VAT management and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Payroll sales ledger
- Record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
- Ensure invoices to customers and follow these to make sure payments are made on time
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure financial accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with Sage is essential.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant bookkeeping experience.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills.
Hours:
15 hours a week - Monday to Friday (School term time only).
