Bookkeeper
Location: Newport, Gwent
Salary: £23k + Excellent Benefits
Permanent, 5 days per week (37.5 hours)
The Client:
Our client is a well-established accountancy firm, offering comprehensive support to clients, to clients, catering to both local and international financial requirements.
The Role:
As a Bookkeeper, you will be managing financial tasks, including invoicing, bank statement reconciliation, and journal preparation (accruals, prepayments, depreciation).
Responsibilities:
* Conducting data processing and reconciliations at client locations and in the office.
* Compiling VAT Returns.
* Supporting in accounts preparation.
* Managing various ad-hoc duties.
Requirements:
* Previously worked for at least 2 years as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
* Background in working in a UK accountancy practice.
* AAT Qualification at level 3 or above.
* Competence in reconciling all control accounts.
* Skilled in Xero, familiarity with Sage Line 50/QuickBooks is advantageous.
