Bookkeeper

A job opportunity has arisen, for a Bookkeeping professional to join a Chartered Accountants, based in Peterborough. The firm are open to both part-time and full-time applicants with the salary being negotiable, dependent on your experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Processing supplier and debtor's invoices and ensuring timely supplier payments
• Balancing accounts and bank reconciliations
• Transactional entries on all accounting software products
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Monitor VAT deadlines
• Assist with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients
• Monitoring aged listings
• Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
• Ad hoc duties

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Xero would be beneficial, however training will be provided
• Good IT skills including use of Excel
