Bookkeeper/AP - Temp to Perm

Together with our client based in South Cambs we are recruiting for a Bookkeeper/AP person to join their team.

This role is being offered on a Temp to Perm basis

Hybrid, with 3 days a week in their newly built offices

Primary Function and Purpose:

• Responsible for the accounts payable cycle and participating in the records of financial transactions for the different entities of the group (UK and Canada).
• Ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely reporting.
• Providing financial information to cross-functional business teams.
• Aiding the Global Finance Controller and the Global Finance Director where required.
• Maintain Accounts Payable: Input of supplier invoices into accounting system, payment runs and query resolution.
• Participating in the completeness and accuracy of sub-ledgers and general ledgers by verifying, allocating, posting transactions, journal entries and reconciliations
• Assist in month/quarter/year-end process.
• Assist in maintaining the completeness and accuracy of fixed asset and IP register by entering and updating transactions.
• Maintain internal control systems to account for financial transactions by following policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly VAT and GST-QST filings in Canada.
• Provide financial support to cross-functional business teams as required.
• Maintain; charge-outs to group companies and other related inter[1]companies' activities.
• Liaise with and support internal and external auditors.
• Intercompany reconciliations.
• Other related duties/responsibilities/projects as required or assigned by the supervisor or Group Finance Director.
