Join a dynamic manufacturing company in West Thurrock as a Brake Press Detailer/Programmer. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all pre-production activities, contributing to the quoting process, and ensuring meticulous job detailing for maximum shop floor efficiency while upholding delivery and quality commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with designers to gather essential information for the quoting process and generate comprehensive details for each job.
- Receive and annotate all drawings for the scheduled projects, providing critical information to support production.
- Confirm the feasibility of producing ordered parts with a deep understanding of machine capabilities, tools, and factory procedures.
- Develop cutting programs and guidelines for the required machines, ensuring optimal production outcomes.
- Iterate materials, consumables, and tools needed for each job, crafting clear instructions for supervisors outlining the production process.
- Fill quotes within the system, analyze prices for competitiveness, and report to management for necessary reviews.
- Compile comprehensive information required for production, consistently achieving "On Time in Full" targets with a commitment to zero defects.
- Actively participate in developing and implementing enhanced pre-production working methods, processes, and data transfer systems.
- Apply a Plan-Do-Check-Act philosophy, supporting team members in collecting and sharing data for learning and focused management reporting.
- Collaborate with site teams to comprehend arising issues and contribute ideas for improving delivered products, aiding site install, cost, or production efficiency.
Skills and Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar office environment role.
- Expertise in office packages (Excel), CAD programs, and Radan.
- Desirable experience in the construction industry.
- Programmer-level knowledge of Excel, and basic knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Java, Python, etc.).
- Familiarity with the operation and capabilities of machinery in use at the factory.
- Advanced ability to read and interpret drawings for press-fit products.
- Competency in MS Excel for producing spreadsheets and charts.
- Proficient in using other MS Office applications, including PowerPoint and internet applications.
