What you’ll do
Be the owner and guardian of the Owned and Operated brands under OGM in the UK, including Oddschecker UK, Who Scored and the parent company.
Set clear direction for the positioning, look and feel and purpose of the brand(s) and administer their usage across all channels and outputs from those brands.
Be the key point of reference for brand-based decision making.
With the support of the Director of Brand and Loyalty, set the direction on a quarterly basis for campaign direction, objectives and focus.
You will own the relationship with the external PR agency, and any future brand agencies that are onboarded.
Key responsibilities
- Devise, own and implement the brand positioning
- Work closely with Loyalty and Product functions to set the guidelines for the comms output of the business, and any decisions that would impact them
- Shape and communicate the brand’s vision and mission and translate brand elements into plans and go-to-market strategies
- Work closely with the creative function of oddschecker to drive innovation matched against the brands guiding principles
- Apply an insight-led approach within marketing (and other departments), working closely with the data and insights functions within the business to manage ongoing collected insights
- Devise, manage and implement brand-based / ATL campaigns within the business
- Measure and report performance of all brand-based marketing campaigns, and assess ROI and KPIs
- Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar/comparable role
- Demonstrate experience and understanding of marketing campaign creation and delivery
- Experience in developing brands and/or launching new initiatives/campaigns/brands to market
- Experience planning and executing multi-channel campaigns
- The ability to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of ‘brand’ and brand guardianship
- Have experience of developing and executing brand strategies
- Experience, either first hand or in a coordination capacity, of a multitude of marketing channels
- A broad knowledge of marketing across multi-platforms: digital, video, social media, content etc.
- Experience of creative development
- Ability to manage a large number of stakeholders
- Ability to coordinate, influence and positively affect colleagues in multiple different channels
- Experience working on an international brand a plus.
- Be able to influence at senior levels both internally and externally
- Demonstrate great communication presentation skills, targeting a wide audience
- An interest in sports and/or betting – horse racing, football and golf are key sports at oddschecker.
- Demonstrates an ability to think creatively and strategically
- An enthusiastic and self-motivated team player
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and sustain a high level of energy and concentration in a fast-paced environment
