Role of the Breakdown Controller
Reporting to the Fleet Optimisation Manager, the Breakdown Controller will assist and support the company with a range of key tasks which include:
- Working within a fast paced service department, coordinating and despatch engineers to breakdowns.
- Completing all administration tasks including data entry, filing and maintaining service reports.
- Obtaining parts and processing orders.
- Raising purchase orders
- Provide live job updates
The Ideal Breakdown Controller will have the following attributes
- Experience working within the plant hire, tool hire, powered access hire industries, or a manufacturer, dealership of plant equipment
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience as a Breakdown Controller, hire controller, parts advisor, parts coordinator, maintenance coordinator, maintenance controller, service advisor, service controller, service coordinator, breakdown coordinator or similar.
- Experience with IT systems, Microsoft office, Excel, data entry and data systems such as Syrinx or Insphire.
- Ability to adapt your approach and priorities in line with company requirements
