Bricklayers Wanted!

We are seeking a skilled bricklaying and repointing team to join our workforce in Chorley. You will play a pivotal role in the construction and maintenance of a block of 30 residential flats. Your responsibilities will include constructing, repairing, and repointing walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and various materials. This position demands physical prowess, attention to detail, and proficiency in working with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities:

• Construct and repair walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and related materials.
• Measure and cut materials to precise specifications using hand or power tools.
• Mix mortar or adhesives to the required consistency.
• Ensure proper alignment and levelling of bricks or stones.
• Apply finishing techniques such as smoothing or colouring mortar joints.
• Perform repairs or replacements of damaged bricks or stones.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Work in line with building regulations and industry standards.

Skills:

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
• Knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
• Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
• Strong attention to detail and precision in bricklaying
• Physical stamina to work long hours and lift heavy materials
• Knowledge of carpentry and welding is a plus

Additional Details:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: £20.00 - £25.00 per hour
• Expected Hours: Up to 40 hours per week.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Location: Chorley, Lancashire, England
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of bricklaying required
• Licence/Certification: CSCS preferred.
• Work Location: In-person.
• Tools: Must have own tools.
