The Opportunity
This is anexciting permanent opportunity to join a large, busy NI based PropertyDeveloper.
The role can beapproached by a few different backgrounds including Building Surveying, RealEstate or a property development or even residential/Hotel maintenancebackground. Our client has a large portfolio of apartments and residentialbuildings. This role will involve managing this portfolio in terms ofmaintenance and suitability. The portfolio stretches from Dublin to Belfast,and will see you visiting each weekly with 3 days in the Tyrone based office. Youwill report directly into Managing director.
Description
In this keyrole, the successful candidate will be responsible for the validation of therepair and Maintenance of the companies’ properties throughout the country andplant mainly in Tyrone and devising detailed scope of works. You will produce/reviewspecifications, create technical drawings and carry out contract administrativeduties associated with the role. You will also undertake a range of diagnosticssurveys and provide technical advice and support on the condition andinvestment requirements of the building and other company assets. It’s worthnoting that the role would be very hands on as well as technical.
- You should demonstrate experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering them successfully.
- You will also have excellent knowledge of building construction, building standards, compliance obligations, planning regulations, regulatory standards and leasehold legislation.
- A working knowledge of building practices, e.g., health & safety, roofing, lifts, utilities, hot water supplies.
- You should also have excellent people skills with the ability to work as part of a team and on own.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer relations skills for engaging with the letting agents etc
- Ability to work effectively with third parties such as contractors, regulatory authorities and utility companies
- Competent IT abilities such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to contribute to strategic discussions about the company’s portfolio of properties
- Driving license and access to own vehicle is essential
