Building Control Team Leader
1. To manage the delivery of the Council’s responsibilities for the determination of building regulation applications and inspection of building work in progress to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations, Building Safety Act 2022, London Building Acts and related legislation.
2. To be a Team Leader for a designated area of the borough exercising delegated authority, acting as the Council's expert on all specialist Building Control matters including:
- responding to all work as identified and allocated to the council via requests for assistance by the host of the “London Hub” on behalf of the National Building Safety Regulator (NBSR)
- all building safety cases if required, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as identified in the Building Safety Act 2022.
- ensuring public safety by dealing with alleged dangerous structures and public amenity by responding to applications for demolition work.

3. To provide leadership and managerial support to the Head of Service as required.
