Salary: £53,685.60 – £58.128.08

Location: 350 Bournville Lane, Birmingham, West Midlands (Hybrid Working)

We are looking for a Building Safety and Sustainability Manager to join our Assets directorate to lead the team to the highest level and innovate the way that we deliver our services.

Job Profile

As BVT’ Building Safety and Sustainability Manager you will become the subject matter expert in advising key stakeholders of all compliance work streams and the trusts sustainability agenda across a diverse stock portfolio. You will be managing a small specialist compliance team and will have the opportunity to develop not only your own skills but will lead the development of the compliance team. BVT are passionate about promoting personal development and will tailor a plan to enable you to thrive as a Building Safety and Sustainability Manager.

In this role you will create successful partnerships and collaborative working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. As a key member of the Assets Team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of compliance activities to a high standard in a unique property portfolio.

Candidate Profile

You will be values driven and focused on delivering great services for BVT’s Assets Team:

  • Experience working in a senior compliance and/or sustainability related role with a housing or private sector provider.
  • Excellent Specialist knowledge of compliance legislation associated with Gas, Water Hygiene, Electrical Inspection, Fire Risk Assessments etc.
  • Extensive project management experience in delivering sustainability/carbon neutral related initiatives and projects to affect a positive change.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Environmental and Sustainability solutions to properties under PAS 2035
  • Management and delivery of servicing and maintenance programmes
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Building Safety and fire legislation
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Experience of managing people and teams.
