Catch 22 are working with an Upper Education establishment who require a Building Surveyor or Clerks of Works to assist with contracts, reporting and management of preventative maintenance works within their estates department. This is a temporary post, expected to last 6-12 months and based in Manchester city centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain architectural and building design, as well as implementing and maintaining an access strategy and policy
- Lead and implement an effective Planned Preventative maintenance plan for all fabric elements.
- Work closely with the Space Planner in regards to
- Ensure projects are delivered with the required parameters for time, cost and quality.
- Working closely with external and internal stakeholders in relation to works, regulations and accessibility.
- Design, implement and maintain an access strategy and policy.
- Producing high quality reports and correspondence, including giving clear oral reports/presentations.
Ideal Building Surveyor will:
- Hold some appropriate academic qualification to degree level in a Construction or Property-related discipline and/or hold professional chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS/FRICS). (Preferred but not Essential)
- Experience of Facilities Management and the management of facilities/asset database.
- Experience of producing high quality reports
Role Details:
- Salary - GBP45k-GBP56k (Pro rata)
- Temporary - Minimum 6 months
- 35 hour contract (Also available on part-time basis)
