Job Description
- Overseeing all building projects to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
- Collaborating with the property team to plan and execute Capital Works.
- Inspecting properties and identifying areas in need of repair or renovation.
- Preparing detailed reports on the condition of properties and proposed Capital Works.
- Liaising with contractors and ensuring all works are completed to a high standard.
- Managing budgets and ensuring all projects are completed within cost constraints.
- Providing expert advice on property matters to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Upholding the organisation's commitment to providing high-quality, affordable housing.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Capital Works - Building Surveyor should have:
- A degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
- Membership in a relevant professional body such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
- Proven experience in managing Capital Works in the residential property sector.
- Excellent knowledge of building regulations and standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using property management software.
