Building Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are representing a client who is seeking a qualified RICS Chartered Building Surveyor to undertake a variety of residential property surveys. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to take on a leadership role, contribute to the strategic direction of the company, and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed property surveys including Building Surveys, Homebuyer Reports, and Condition Reports for residential properties.
• Assess structural integrity and identify defects, providing detailed reports and recommendations to clients.
• Advise clients on property maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and property legislation.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract new business and expand the company's client base.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to the overall growth strategy of the company, including business development and marketing initiatives.

Requirements:

• Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in building surveying, with a strong background in both residential and commercial properties.
• Excellent report writing skills, with attention to detail and clarity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to run and grow a business.
• Proficient in using relevant surveying software and tools.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to various sites as required.
