Here at Stonewater, we are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor (known internally as a Homes Business Partner) to join our newly created Damp, Mould and Disrepair team.
Reporting into the Damp, Mould & Disrepair Service Manager, you will be responsible for resolving cases of damp, Mould and Disrepair. This will involve carrying out inspections, virtually and in person, to diagnose the cause of damp, Mould and Disrepairs, ordering works, tracking cases to completion and working with colleagues across Homes and our Partnering Contractors where you require specialist input. In addition, you will be responsible for tracking HHSRS actions and a caseload of disrepair legal cases whilst working closely with colleagues and our Solicitors to see these through to completion.
It goes without saying that you will need a level of technical knowledge, be experienced in inspection and have the ability to identify the causes of damp, Mould and Disrepairs in the home as a foundation to apply for this role. But in addition, you’ll need to be great at building relationships, have sound negotiating and influencing skills, be able to manage challenging conversations and a complex workload. Most importantly, you will need to be solution focussed, putting the customer at the heart of the resolution and working with internal and external stakeholders to get the best outcome.
The role will be home based but there will be an expectation to travel to locations in your region and attend national meetings as required.
Appointment to this role will be subject to satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
