Building Surveyor / Project Manager
Salary: £36,905 – 41,999
Location: Coventry, Birmingham and covering our stock (Hybrid Working)
Permanent, Full Time - Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

Reporting to the Building Safety Contracts Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the site management of a variety of projects through legislative and statutory compliance contracts, particularly focused on fire door replacements and managing a multimillion-pound budgets and programme of works to our residential dwellings across the West Midlands, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire.
In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Building Safety Surveyor will involve:
Providing clear and effective management of site works
Ensuring compliance with regulation and legislation applicable to the organisation’s residential stock
Supporting the procurement, delivery, and management of robust servicing, maintenance, and repair contracts
Supporting the management of contracts and contractors for all aspects of building safety
Supporting the development of policies and procedures relating to building safety
Acting as the accountable person for the successful installation of building materials/ works to comply with Fire Safety & Building Regulations
As Building Safety Surveyor, we need you to have:
Detailed knowledge of Fire regulation and Building Control regulations associated with residential accommodation and social housing.
Detailed knowledge of Safety legislation and best practice associated with residential accommodation and social housing.
We would be really excited if you have:
Attainment of a Degree at 2:2 level or above in a building related subject and relevant experience in a similar role.
OR HNC/HND pass in a building-related subject and relevant experience in a similar role.
OR City & Guilds qualification in relevant subject and relevant experience in a similar role.
Practical experience and theoretical knowledge of the application of fire safety order regulation – i.e., door inspections and remedial work required to close FRA actions.
Experience in managing contractors delivering technical work to housing stock
Knowledge of managing risk assessment and safety inspection processes and procedures across the housing stock.
Experience of working as part of a team and delivering efficiencies through effective use of new technology and systems/processes.
