Summary
We are looking to appoint an experienced, proactive, approachable and enthusiastic Office Manager at Business Admin 5 (Grade 7), starting on 13th May 2024 or soon afterwards. They will work alongside existing office staff in our busy yet supportive school office. The successful candidate will be a problem solver and dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for children in school.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a school office and have detailed knowledge and understanding of school systems and practices, including SIMs and Finance 6 software. (Ideally, they will have used Arbor as a school management system). They will work in conjunction with the Headteacher to manage the school budget, human resources and the day-to-day running of the administrative systems in school, including some responsibility for aspects of health and safety. This is a part time position (28 hours per week). The hours of working are Monday to Thursday 8.30am until 4pm with half an hour for lunch, for 39 weeks of the year.

Essential Qualifications
  • GCSE Maths & English A-C
  • Business and administration qualification (NVQ and above) or similar and suitable to the post

  • Working with school management systems (e.g. SIMs)
  • Financial management
  • Experience in school financial systems e.g. Arbor/FMS
  • Experience with on-line payment systems
  • Experience of Microsoft IT software package

  • Experience of Health & Safety requirements
