Business Administrator Apprentice – Island Facility Services:
Island Facility Services (IFS) are looking for a passionate and driven individual to join their team and fill an exciting and dynamic new role within their office. This office would also service the clients of IFS’ sister company Solar Renewable Installations Ltd. Between the two companies they cover the majority of the building, facilities and project services across domestic and commercial sites. Within this role you would be working under the operations team to assist with enquiries, booking property surveys as well as getting involved in HR matters, all across a wide range of builing and maintenance services.
No prior experience is necessary as you will be provided with thorough training throughout the entire Apprenticeship which will enable you to build on your knowledge and skills to be successful in this role.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The following are the core responsibilities of this job role and what you will be working toward being able to do, by the end of the Apprenticeship you should be proficient in all of these, occasionally you may be required to carry out other tasks dependant on factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- Answering the telephone and ensuring all messages are communicated as necessary
- Booking property surveys and ensuring that these are accurately recorded
- Logging any overnight enquiries
- Creating and filling new job files with correct documentation
- Maintaining and developing the electronic file structure.
- Be a proactive member of the team, developing and promoting ideas of ways to improve the operation

Training Provided:
The successful candidate will be working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship.
Candidates will need to have achieved maths and English at GCSE or equivalent Grades A-C (9-4) or Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English before completing the Apprenticeship standard.
Off the job training will be provided, where you will have the time to complete your portfolio work, attend off job training seminars and have allocated time for mentoring and being shadowed.

Hourly Wage:
National Apprenticeship Wage to begin, however wage is negotiable depending on applicant experience.
Monday to Friday. 8:00am to 4:30pm
