JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:Business Admin Apprentice (Fundraising/HR)

Contract type: 18 months fixed-term                                                                   Date of issue: March 2024

Salary: £19,800 FTE (£15,840 pro-rated)

Hours: 30 hours per week

Accountable to/for: Executive Assistant

Base: Youth Trust House, Newport, IOW

Job Summary:           

To support the effective and efficient functioning of the administrative activity within the Isle of Wight Youth Trust with specific reference to fundraising and HR.

 

Core Responsibilities:

Fundraising

·        Support the Executive Assistant to deliver an exciting programme of Fundraising activities

·        To prepare event documentation including briefs, event plans, risk assessments and supporting documentation if required.

·        Support with co-ordination and administration of Fundraising activities

·        Research, record and develop knowledge of our current and potential supporters, ensuring supporter/donor data is accurate and up to date.

·        Ensure that donations and offers of other support are appropriately recorded, responded to and thanked, promptly and efficiently.

·        Support on production of marketing and fundraising materials and content needed to engage our supporters.

 

Human Resources

       Support the HR coordinator by ensuring that staff details are properly and accurately recorded and regularly updated on the HR database.

·        Provide HR administration support around recruitment and selection, induction, leavers, CPD, performance management and wellbeing.

·        Support the delivery of a positive, caring culture within the Charity, provide support to achieve successful staff onboarding, promote a positive view of the Charity, and achieve good internal communications

·        Support H&S compliance (HR related).

 

General

 

·        Undertake a range of general administrative tasks, as required, commensurate with your skills and experience and the demands on the charity.

·        Support organisation of staff events and meetings, minuting as required

·        Support the finance team with ordering and procurement

·        Work flexibly and sometimes remotely, with occasional work outside core hours including weekends as required to support delivery of fundraising activity.

·        Ensure customer feedback is regularly sought and that compliments, comments and complaints are promptly responded to for all areas within the responsibility of the post holder.

·        To keep up to date with changes in legislation and/or good practice in relation to work area.

·        Contribute to the successful completion of any Quality Programmes introduced by Youth Trust

·        You will take reasonable care for your health and safety and have regard to other persons who may be affected by the performance of your duties, in accordance with the provisions of Health and Safety legislation and actively encourage, promote and reinforce all Health and Safety procedures in accordance with the guidelines laid down in the Youth Trust Health and Safety Policy

·        You will exercise proper care in handling, operating and safeguarding any equipment or appliance provided, used or issued by Youth Trust or provided by a third party for individual or collective use in the performance of your duties.
