Business Change Consultant
Location: Cheltenham (Hybrid). Expectation 3 to 4 days on-site.
Start Date: ASAP subject to clearance
End date: 12 months
Rate: SFIA Dependant. Positions available for SFIA 4,5,6.
Clearance: Applicants must currently hold the highest level of UK Government security clearance (UK*C) "Green badge". This position does not support UKSV/MOD held clearances.
Role Description
Bringing your specific technical skills, expertise, and experience into transformational projects, you’ll be part of a team driving forward industry-leading change. You’ll be contributing to the high performance of our projects through a mixture of delivering technical work; assisting in the management of small to medium sized projects to deliver on time, on budget and of an exceptional quality; and contributing to the processes of winning work to secure a future pipeline of opportunities for the division.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
- The delivery of high quality, innovative client solutions as part of a team.
- Data processing, technical report writing, requirements gathering.
- Project management support for large budget projects.
- Assisting in the development of consultancy offerings, bids, and propositions.
- Technical consultancy and assurance; growing your area of technical expertise.
Skills and experience
A working knowledge and demonstrable experience in all or some of the following areas:
- Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders in technology-led transformation programmes, across strategy, business design and change management.
- Analysing complex problems, designing innovative solutions, and communicating them effectively to a wide range of audiences.
- Delivering transformational change, with awareness and knowledge of Business Change models, tools, and techniques.
- Experience of preparing affected business areas for transitioning to new ways of working.
- Experience of guiding stakeholders through business transformations.
- Communications planning and implementation.
- Exemplary stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Experience facilitating workshops with wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to build strong and lasting relationships with clients at all levels in a business environment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates an analytical and systematic approach to issue resolution
- Expected to take roles in client or business delivery assignments, with responsibility for achieving stakeholder satisfaction, producing deliverables to expected quality and within commercial constraints
- Will need to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships as will be often embedded in the client’s delivery teams working directly with client staff and consultants from other organisations
- Contribute and collaborate with a range of stakeholders routinely. Being adaptable and flexible to suit the circumstances, being prepared to work at a high-level or at a detailed level when required

As an individual
- Have delivery experience either as a Business Change consultant or comparable role
- APMG Change Management Practitioner and/or PROSCI Practitioner and/or MSP accreditation equivalent desirable but not essential
- Delivering transformation change with awareness and knowledge Business Change models tools and techniques
- Be self-motivated and confident, with strong people skills
- Be able to gain client trust and identify opportunities for adding further value to the client relationship

- Be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
- Be an excellent communicator, verbal (ability to listen) and written (able to write concisely) including the production (where required) of project documents/products
